Early Communities Day:

We are having an Early Communities Day on Thursday of this week. (Changed due to other happenings on Friday). This is a day where your child can dress up as an early settler or First Nations person for the WHOLE day. Your children are also encouraged to pack an early settler or First Nations lunch. During this day we will participate in different activities that early settlers and First Nations people would do. Please note that the word pioneer is no longer used, they are now called early settlers. Similarly, we no longer use the term “Indian.” Instead, we use First Nations. I encourage you to use this language at home when preparing for this day. :)
