This Week in Grade 3...

Hello everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed the Spring Break. :)

Here's what we are going to be doing this week:

Tuesday:
Wednesday: Hotdog Lunch $1.25
Thursday: Memory Work - Psalm 127:1a; Parent-Teacher Conferences (7-9pm)
Friday: Good Friday

We will be continuing our exploration of Ontario. Before the break we talked with a number of people from different parts of the province. This week we are going to begin one of our final projects. Students will pick a community in Ontario and do some inquiry using technology and books available in the classroom.

In Bible we are continuing to study the ministry of Jesus. Our focus will soon turn towards His death and resurrection.

In Language we are going to be learning how to write a proper letter and are continuing our novel study on Sarah Plain and Tall. Our next spelling test is March 31.

In Phys-Ed we have started an indoor soccer unit we learning the skills of passing and trapping currently.

During the next few days we will be doing lots of review in math with time and money. We hope to complete this unit soon. Our next unit involves regrouping in multiplication (ex. 9 X 45). It is important that your children continue to practice their multiplication tables. :)

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have via email.
